Having a parent or sibling who's different leaves a stigma on everyone in the family, assigning them a set of expectations it can be almost impossible to escape. Marty carries a double stigma. His twin brother is bipolar, and he's his brother's keeper in many ways. His father committed suicide, another stigma that he struggles to overcome.

I rooted for Marty from beginning to end -- an ending I didn't expect. I'm looking forward to more books by Edwards. Highly recommended.

Great teen suspense novel! Kept me guessing til the end! Good job G A Edwards!! The setting was described well.
Storyline was good but many grammatical errors throughout the text. I was extremely frustrated with this aspect of the novel. I enjoyed the storyline and the concept behind it, but if errors disturb you don't read it.
Great book! Read it in 2 days, I couldn't put it down. Very suspenseful. I thought I had the killer figured out but I was wrong. Definitely love the small town setting. Very relatable coming from a very small town myself. Overall great read. Cant wait for for more books from her!
This book should appeal to adult readers (I'm 65) as well as teens. It's a suspensful story that will keep you guessing until the last chapter but it's so much more than that. These teens must deal with tough, real-life problems that will hold a reader's interest just as well as the mystery.
Edwards has written a debut novel that appeals to both youth and adults alike. A coming of age novel set in rural Madison County, Mirror Images explores the challenges of being bipolar, having an alcoholic parent, dealing with parent suicide--with the back drop of a serial killer who is targeting little girls. And yet, the book is a fun read, imbued with humor and sensitivity to the challenges of the teenage years. It's a great mystery and the ending will take your breath away even as realize you should have seen it coming--Edwards lays the groundwork so skillfully. It looks like things are "explosive" in Edwards second book. Can't wait!
I completely enjoyed this book! I usually don't read YA, however, this book was recommended to me by a friend, so I gave it a try. I loved it! The first person POV from the boys perspective was excellent. Being able to see the world through his eyes made the mystery more intense bringing the reader into the story. The pacing was perfect, kept me entertained and turning pages. The conclusion blew me away. I look forward to reading more from this author!
This is a thought-provoking mystery for teenagers and adults. Edwards sensitively handles tough topics, including mental illness, alcoholism, grief, and friendship. This isn't the ordinary fluff with a predictable plot. That said, it is also very engaging and entertaining. I enjoyed learning about the relationships among the characters and trying to figure out "who done it" all the while. Get the book, and give yourself a free day to just read it. I read it on my so I could start it right away and not have to even wait 2 days for Prime! I'm glad I did. You will be, too. You won't be able to put it down!
